The Windows Team has been continuing to work towards the first BETA release of Windows 7. PDC 2008 previewed some of improvements to the desktops, but Microsoft is not stopping there for this release. The website CNBeta has a video of the latest build 6956 shown at WinHEC 2008 in China, and a new Boot screen animation is now a part of the boot sequence.
The Boot animation features 3 glowing blurs combining to form glowing logo.Windows Vista currently has a boot screen animation, but its quite conservative with just a simple glowing effect. Its also said that Microsoft will be allowing OEM’s to edit the boot sequence. Removing the graphical distractions actually shaved 12 seconds off the boot up time.[Via adacosta.spaces.live]
